My Testimony: |
I was born in South Atlanta on Christmas Eve of 1953. My mom was a dedicated Christian who had me in Sunday School from the first day they would take me in the nursery, I had a number of dedicated men as Sunday School teachers but did not go to the church service very often, as my mom did not like the style of the Preacher. He screamed a lot and always preached on going to Hell. My mom knew about God’s Grace and wanted us focused on his goodness not his wrath. When I was 12 or 13 during a revival God took hold of my heart and I walked down the aisle and told the Pastor I needed Christ in my life. He prayed the sinner’s prayer with me and Christ moved in.
As with most 12/13 years old I thought the deed was done and nothing else was required. Not until I meet this little girl from South GA at the end of my Sophomore year at college did I realize that God wanted more from me, not just my heart but my soul, my energy, my devotion.
