J. David Rae

David Rae is the immediate past President and co-founder of the EdiX Corporation, a California-based medical technology company with offices located across the country. He is a key investor in EdiX and assisted in the startup phase ensuring its smooth transition to new leadership in February, 1996. He is also an investor in other technology companies and serves on the Board of Camelot Consulting, a Colorado Springs-based custom software development company and Q Media, a software development and disk duplication firm located in Vancouver. In addition, he is actively involved in other areas of interest such as Hockey Network, a mentoring program for National Hockey League professionals.

Prior to co-founding EdiX, Rae was President of Apple Canada, Inc. and Vice President of Apple Computer, Inc. His foresight in engaging Apple in major account and government business was instrumental in the rapid growth of Apple Canada from $88 million to $360 million. As part of this strategy Apple Canada was the first Apple subsidiary to acquire a service business which enabled better access and service to the larger accounts.

While at Apple Canada, Rae was awarded the "Manager of the Year" honors three of his six years as President and the Canadian subsidiary was twice honored as "The Country of the Year". During his tenure, Apple Canada was recognized by The Globe & Mart Publishing as one of the 100 Best Companies in Canada. In 1990, he completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

Prior to joining Apple, Rae helped found and direct TTS, a telephone interconnect company, growing revenues to over $50 million in four years. Rae’s background also includes staff and line management in Bell Canada, Canada’s leading communication company where he managed the growth of Bell’s largest division.

Current and previous Boards on which Rae has served include Apple Canada, Inc., Middlefield Ventures, a Tronoto-based venture capital firm, Trans World Radio, Youth For Christ, Q Media, Camelot Consulting and EdiX.

Residing in Colorado Springs, he and his teenage sweetheart, Ann Graham, have been married for 26 years and have three children.
